A perfect compliment to the XKG Series to wear with the Covert, Lone Peak Jacket and/or the Windstorm Rain Jacket. An important piece when needing extra warmth during long glassing sessions or on colder hunts.
Thermolite is an ultralight, highly resilient and compressible synthetic insulation alternative to traditional, unprotected down. It repels water and dries quickly to keep phenomenal warmth in cold and wet conditions.

A packable piece that stuffs into its own zip pocket. Made of 100% micro ripstop polyester, the layering concept of the Transition Jacket can be added to any system without taking up a lot of space or weight.

XKG Transition Thermolite Jacket
This is a really nice and lightweight piece great for archery elk seasons and mid season as a under layer.

Great Jacket
Fits great, is warm and pack apple. The outer layer also feels more durable than my other packable jackets.

XKG Transition Thermolite Jacket
Appears fantastic but have yet to wear it in the woods.

insulating layer
I've worn this a few times. As a stand alone jacket in cool weather, upper 20's-low 30's it is fine. Worn as an insulating layer under an outer shell such as King's Storm Fleece Jacket it's a little lite for my liking. Temps routinely hit 10-20 degrees in the mountains where I hunt. Add a still breeze in the mix and you will need a little more insulation. I would pair this piece with a 250 -300 wt. merino wool and a base layer and I'm comfortable.
