Thermolite is an ultralight, highly resilient and compressible synthetic insulation alternative to traditional, unprotected down. It repels water and dries quickly to keep phenomenal warmth in cold and wet conditions.
A perfect compliment to the XKG Series to wear with the Covert, Lone Peak Jacket and/or the Windstorm Rain Jacket. An important piece when needing extra warmth during long glassing sessions or on colder hunts.
A packable piece that stuffs into its own zip pocket. Made of 100% micro ripstop polyester, the layering concept of the Transition Vest can be added to any system without taking up a lot of space or weight.
From our customers
I love the whole XKG Line! The Transition Vest is an extremely light 3rd layer that adds that extra bit of warmth when you need it, between the base layers and Jacket. Perfect piece. When I don't need it, it stuffs in my pack.
Great for layering between layers for those slightly cooler mornings. I've used locally here in Southern CA as well as a recent rifle whitetail hunt with my dad in Southern AL. Very light and very quiet materials. LOVED IT!

I have used the XKG vest for hunting turkeys this spring. The vest is really warm and packs up inside it’s own pocket. Very warm and comfortable and doesn’t take much room in the backpack.
Perfect extra layer
The fit is great an very warm. It's going to be great in September. Plus once it's packed away it makes a great pillow for backpacking.
Just what I was looking for
Great fit and light weight.
For as light as this vest is, I was a little skeptical on its warmth. A great vest for cool temps. It was bought for layering but haven't had too many cold days in Northern AZ.
