Bought this for my daughter to begin her hunting experience and she loves it!
This is a good, functional, hunting jacket. It is very warm and slightly heavier than a traditional soft shell hunting jacket. I don't think it is noisy. It makes the same amount of noise that my husband's Sitka and Kuiu jackets make. I have an old Sitka 90% jacket, size small, bought before they stopped making a size small and it also makes some noise. Sizing is good. At 5' 6" , 127 lbs, I wear a size small and am able to layer under it for the really cold times. I removed the velcro and tab on the sleeves, sorry Kings. (I'm not only dangerous with a bow, but with a seam ripper as well!) The sleeves are the perfect size for archery hunting and do not need to be tightened, and I kept catching the tab on stuff and THAT makes noise. The waist doesn't need a draw string - thinking about removing that too, but it is not really in the way. Would love to see a second chest pocket or maybe a sleeve pocket. The neck, when zipped all the way is pretty high, but warm. They could make it slightly shorter. (maybe I've got a short neck?) :-)
This jacket has a very nice cut, looks very feminine and I am very pleased with it. It doesn't really have the soft (furry) fleece feel to it, it is closer to a soft shell jacket to my opinion. Size is sporty fitted, so if you plan to wear some warm layers underneath, you might want a size bigger.
This seemed to be a great jacket, fit was good, layout of pockets was nice, looks are nice. I did send it back because it will not function well for my needs as a bowhunter. The fabric makes to much noise as it rubs against itself. You would think fleece would equal silent or near so but it sounded more like low nap Velcro. Should be fine for a rifle hunter.
