Matt was born and raised in West Jordan, Utah. Growing up on his family’s dairy farm, he learned from a young age the value of hard work, which he credits as the single biggest factor to his success as a hunter.  As he puts it, “The harder I work, the luckier I get!” Married with two kids, his small family is his pride and joy.  He works in the archery industry as the National Sales Manager for Grim Reaper Broadheads for the past 10 years and feels incredibly blessed to associate with the great people throughout the hunting industry.

Matt was introduced to the outdoors by his dad for which he will be forever grateful. At age 14, Matt killed his first archery mule deer which lit a fire and passion for archery hunting that burns brighter than ever 25 years later. Backcountry mule deer hunting with archery equipment is his number one passion, but he loves any hunt or species as long as his bow is in hand. He has been blessed to hunt in many places around the country and the world and has taken 150 big game animals with archery equipment.  Matt eats, sleeps, and breathes bowhunting and loves everything about it. To him, it’s a way of life - it’s not just about the kill, but so much more. He loves the practice, planning, scouting, dreaming, training, anticipation, close encounters, and sights and sounds of mother nature. His heart and soul long for wild and remote places and he cherishes every moment he gets to spend there. He loves to share his passion and experience with others and can’t wait to share it with his own kids. Matt couldn’t be more grateful to those who have loved and supported him in his passion and knows he couldn’t be where he is today without them.

“Over the past 25 years and countless days spent afield I have truly learned the value of good gear. As much as I love mother nature, she can be unforgiving and just downright miserable at times. King’s Shadow patterns have been my go-to for over a decade, but their XKG Series has really taken it to the next level.  An incredible, affordable, layering system in my favorite pattern - it doesn’t get any better than that. The XKG line offers me everything I need to stay comfortable, hunt harder and find more success in the field.  I also put great value in relationships and the good people at King’s have and continue to treat me like family. There is absolutely no question as to what clothing I will be wearing to the field this fall.”
